The petroglyphs of Isla de Mezcala are pre-Hispanic carvings etched in rock by the ancient inhabitants of the Lake Chapala region. These designs include geometric figures, human representations and symbolic elements that reflect aspects of their worldview. They are an important testimony to the archaeological heritage of Jalisco and contribute to the knowledge of the cultures that inhabited the region before the arrival of the Spanish. To finish, we will make a brief stop for lunch in the town of Ajijic, a magical town that charms visitors with its simplicity and its colorful streets.
